Introduction

  • Select an area to fill with any tool. From the Edit Menu select Fill. Make sure the Contents box is set to Content-Aware. Options has Colour Adaptation ticked, and Blending is Normal, 100%. Click OK to complete.
  • If you select most of an image the unselected area becomes the sample area and will be used to fill the main part of the image. (Ref 1:50)
  • The shortcut for this is SHIFT + DELETE, which opens the dialogue box.
  • If you select an area first and then go to Edit > Content-Aware Fill from the Menu, then a new workspace opens which gives a lot of options for how this tool works. (See below).
