Difference Blending Mode

Introduction

• Difference blend mode can be used for checking the alignment of images, as the image turns black all over with perfect registration. (Ref).
• Also for colour grading using a solid colour layer, where the colour is applied to the shadows and the complementary colour to the highlights. Altering the colour saturation, opacity and fill will radically change the effect.
